Food Banks
Running sustainable food banks in Kano powered by our farm.
Our food banks provide daily meals for 30 to 40 individuals, addressing immediate food insecurity in our community.
Each week in 2025, we donated over a hundred meals to the Female Surgical Ward in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. We also run an in-house food bank providing a hot meal every day to 30+ people. Our aim is to expand our operations to provide more meals for more people.
Our methods are proudly sustainable-- use the gallery below to walk through our journey of growing rice, millet, sorghum, groundnuts for peanut oil used for cooking in a farming village in Gurduba where Hajiya Yakumbo is from.
